Staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was a magical experience, especially because of its proximity to Magic Kingdom and the wonderful family-friendly amenities, like the volcano pool. However, I did encounter some challenges with transportation convenience and guest service during my visit, which dampened the overall experience slightly.

Rooms
8.0
I found the rooms to be nicely decorated and comfortable, although they were a bit smaller than newer deluxe hotels. The Park View room offered a nice view of the lagoon and fireworks, but I might save money and opt for a Standard View next time.
Service
5.0
While the staff was generally friendly and attentive, my experience with guest services left much to be desired. I faced long wait times on the phone to resolve an issue with a defective item from the gift shop, which was frustrating.
Location

The Polynesian's location just a monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom is fantastic. It makes park visits easy and fun for families, although I did experience some waiting issues during peak times which could be improved.

Ohana was definitely a highlight of my stay. the character dining experience with Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch was fun and the food was delicious. I also enjoyed the convenience of room service for O'hana dinner during a rainy night.

The volcano pool was a huge hit with my children, and I loved the lush tropical landscaping throughout the resort. The variety of family activities, like s'mores and storytelling, made for a good stay.

Overall, my stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was good with beautiful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere. However, my experience with the club level left much to be desired due to limited food options and service hiccups that detracted from the luxury I expected.

Rooms

My room was beautifully designed, spacious and comfortable. the lanai was a lovely touch, perfect for enjoying the lake views.
Service
6.0
Service was friendly and attentive, though my club level experience was disappointing due to a broken coffee machine and minimal food choices. It did feel like they could improve on dining options for dietary restrictions.

The resort's proximity to the Magic Kingdom via the monorail was incredibly convenient. I loved the ease of hopping to the parks at any time.
Dining

Dining options were generally good. I enjoyed the brunch at Kona Café, but I felt let down by the limited options available at the club level.

The facilities were well-kept and offered a range of fun, family-friendly activities. The volcano pool was a highlight for my kids, making our pool time nice.

Overall, my stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was nothing short of magical, with its very nice proximity to Magic Kingdom and a beautiful tropical ambiance that made me feel like I was truly in paradise. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although I noticed they could use a fresh update. Dining options were plentiful and delicious, but I did wish for a bit more variety at breakfast in the club lounge.

Rooms

I found the rooms to be large and comfortable, perfect for my family. However, I did notice that they were starting to look a bit faded and could use an update.
Service
10.0
The cast members were incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to help. I loved how they went above and beyond, like when staff at Kona sent us off with coffee to go after a good breakfast.
Location

The resort's location was perfect, situated just one monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom, which made it easy to pop back and forth to the parks. Plus, I enjoyed watching the fireworks from the resort's beach.
Dining
8.0
Dining was a highlight of my stay. I particularly enjoyed our family meal from Ohana delivered via room service; it was the best room service meal ever! The King Kamehameha lounge had a decent breakfast selection, but I would have loved to see more iconic options like Mickey waffles.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were fantastic, with the kids loving the volcano-themed pool and the assorted family activities available. However, I felt the club level rooms should have had more updates to justify the higher price point.

7.0/10

My stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort was a mixed experience. The location near Magic Kingdom was very nice, making it so easy for my family to visit the park multiple times. However, I faced significant issues with my room's comfort, from noise disturbances to outdated decor, which dampened the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
While the ground floor room offered a nice view of greenery, the noise from neighboring rooms and the outdated design negatively affected my comfort. Also, the pillowcases didn't fully cover the pillows, which felt unhygenic.
Service
5.0
I reached out about my power outage issue, but I was disappointed with the lack of follow-up. The check-in experience was friendly, but overall, the service recovery could have been better.
Location
9.0
The proximity to Magic Kingdom was a highlight, as we took advantage of the monorail and went to the park several times. However, getting to other resorts or Disney Springs was more inconvenient than expected.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were limited, and I found overlaps between the menus at Ohana and other eateries. The food was enjoyable but felt repetitive, necessitating outings to avoid having the same meals.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was fantastic, featuring a volcano-themed design and a waterslide that my kids loved. However, I was disappointed that cocktails weren't allowed in the pool, which would have enhanced the overall experience.

I had a great stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and the monorail access is a huge perk for easy trips to Magic Kingdom. However, the restaurants could use more vegetarian options, and I found the beds uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a magical place, but there are some areas for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and had nice amenities like two queen beds and a small fridge. However, I did find the beds a bit hard and sloped toward the headboard, which affected my sleep.
Service
9.0
The staff were super friendly and attentive. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like sending us off with coffee after breakfast. However, it would have been helpful to know about bed rails for the pull-down bed before we asked.
Location
10.0
The location is fantastic, just a monorail stop away from Magic Kingdom, which made getting there a breeze. The tropical landscaping added a serene vibe to the resort too.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were decent but could be better for vegetarians. Captain Cook's had an awesome vegetarian bell pepper burger, but the character brunch at Ohana's was a bit lacking for non-meat eaters.
Facilities
8.0
The pools were a highlight, especially for the kids, and the grounds were well-kept. However, I was annoyed by the music blaring everywhere; it made it hard to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in peace.
